As we scale nationwide, we are hiring a mission-aligned Business Development Representative (BDR) to increase top-of-funnel activity and help more churches discover how eSPACE supports healthy facilities and healthy ministry.

Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in pipeline creation. The two primary responsibilities are:

1. Lead Follow-Up

Engage, qualify, and convert inbound leads into discovery calls and product demos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Follow-Up & Qualification
    • Rapidly respond to inbound leads, demo requests, marketing-generated leads, website forms, referrals, and live chat conversations.
    • Return inbound calls within 10 minutes or less during business hours.
    • Qualify prospects based on need, authority, timing, and fit (Intro & Semi-Qualified levels).
    • Schedule discovery calls and product demos for AEs.
    • Maintain strong follow-up cadence across multiple channels.
  • Outbound Pipeline Generation
    • Conduct 220–250 outbound calls per week (aligns with SDR benchmark medians).
    • Send 150–200 outbound emails per week.
    • Execute 30–50 LinkedIn connection requests, messages, or touches per week.
    • Research and identify ideal churches and schools within SCS’s ICP.
    • Run multi-step sequences to generate consistent weekly discovery calls.
    • Maintain respectful persistence and high professionalism when engaging ministries.
  • Live Chat Engagement
    • Monitor eSPACE website live chat during assigned hours.
    • Respond to all inquiries in real time.
    • Qualify conversations and convert into meetings.
    • Log chat activity consistently in the CRM.
  • CRM & Sales Process Support
    • Log 100% of activities (calls, emails, LinkedIn touches, meetings, notes) in Hubspot CRM.
    • Keep all contact and account data clean and up to date.
    • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing on lead strategies, messaging, and follow-up.
    • Participate in weekly sales huddles, pipeline reviews, and coaching sessions.
    • Assist with administrative tasks that support Sales and Revenue Operations.

Daily / Weekly Activity

  • 100+ total activities/day
  • 4+ Quality Conversations/day
  • 220–250 calls/week
  • 150–200 emails/week
  • 30–50 LinkedIn touches/week

Meetings & Pipeline

  • 8–12 introductory meetings per month
  • 5–8 qualified meetings per month (Converted)
  • Weekly goal: 2–3 demos scheduled; 2 demos attended

Ramp-Up Expectations (First 90 Days)

Month 1 – Foundation

  • Complete sales training, ICP training, and eSPACE product training
  • Begin making outbound calls (50% of activity target)
  • Begin handling inbound and live chat
  • 1–2 meetings/week

Month 2 – Execution

  • Reach 75% of activity targets
  • Full management of inbound + outbound efforts
  • 2–3 meetings/week

Month 3 – Full Productivity

  • Reach 100% of weekly activity levels
  • 8–12 meetings/month (intro)
  • 5–8 qualified meetings/month
  • Demonstrate reliability, accuracy, response speed, and CRM hygiene

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary

  • $47,500 per year

Commission (Uncapped)

  • $125 per Cold demo attended
    • A Cold demo = contact not previously in CRM requesting or agreeing to a discovery call.
  • $75 per Warm demo attended
    • A Warm demo = existing CRM contact who becomes MQL/SQL through BDR activity.

(Updated for competitiveness with 2025 SDR benchmarks where median OTE is ~$80K.)
