The Manager of Marketing and Communications plays a key role in shaping and executing Provision Financial Resources’ marketing and communications strategy in close partnership with the President & CEO.
This position ensures that Provision’s mission of faithful financial stewardship is clearly and consistently communicated to churches, families, and ministry partners across North Carolina and beyond. The Manager brings creativity and operational excellence to campaigns, content, and digital engagement that reflect the organization’s values and advance its strategic goals. In addition to managing day-to-day marketing activities, the Manager provides leadership to the Senior Graphic Designer and collaborates across teams to deliver high-quality, mission-driven work.
This role will help build and grow a marketing team over time, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Brand Management & Messaging • Steward the visual identity and voice for Provision Financial Resources, CoLabor Initiative, and Render Capital, ensuring clarity, consistency, and ministry alignment across all materials. • Maintain brand guidelines for all three brands; coach staff and partners on correct usage.
2) Campaigns & Product Marketing • Collaborate with the President & CEO to translate strategic priorities into actionable marketing plans for Provision, Co-Labor, and Render Capital. • Plan and run integrated campaigns for priority offerings (church loans, investment products, planned giving, donor services) across all brands. • Develop positioning, value propositions, and key messages; create sales enablement assets for frontline teams. • Partner with the Church Lending Program, Trust/Planned Giving, Impact Investing, and Ministry Impact teams to map journeys from awareness to inquiry and follow-up.
3) Content & Storytelling • Build and manage to a marketing and editorial calendar for all three brands; source and produce stories, testimonials, case studies, and ministry features that demonstrate impact. • Write and edit copy for web, email, social, print, and video scripts; coordinate photo/video production as needed.
4) Digital Marketing & Web • Own day-to-day digital execution for Provision, Co-Labor, and Render Capital: email marketing, social media, website updates/landing pages, and SEO fundamentals. • Implement and maintain analytics (social insights, email metrics) and report monthly on KPIs (traffic, engagement, inquiries, conversion).
5) Events & Partnerships • Support conferences, webinars, roadshows, and church events for all three brands (booth materials, signage, presentations, lead capture, pre/post-event promotion). • Coordinate co-marketing with ministry partners and affinity organizations; manage collateral fulfillment.
6) Project, Vendor & Budget Management • Translate strategy into timelines, deliverables, and resource plans; manage creative vendors/freelancers. • Track budgets, purchase orders, and contracts; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
7) Governance & Compliance • Uphold communication standards and review cycles; ensure materials meet regulatory and organizational guidelines for financial communications. • Maintain an organized asset library (templates, brand files, photo/video, disclaimers) for all three brands.
8) Team Leadership & Development • Provide direct supervision and support to the Senior Graphic Designer, ensuring alignment with brand standards and project priorities. • Foster a collaborative, creative environment that encourages professional growth. • Contribute to long-term planning for marketing team expansion as organizational needs evolve.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 8-10+ years of progressively responsible marketing experience, ideally in financial services, nonprofit/ministry, or professional B2B services. • Demonstrated success running integrated campaigns and managing a small budget/vendor roster. Skills & Tools • Strong writing/editing and content planning; comfortable presenting to leadership and ministry partners. • Proficiency with common marketing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, WordPress, etc.) • HubSpot knowledge is highly preferred for marketing automation, CRM, and campaign management. • Solid project management practices (e.g., Asana, timelines, brief creation, stakeholder reviews). • Data-literate: can build dashboards, interpret metrics, and translate findings into action. • Familiarity with branding principles and multi-channel marketing. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • This position is based in our Cary, NC office. • Hybrid schedule: o Monday: Remote work day o Tuesday–Thursday: In-office collaboration days o Friday: Remote work, ending at noon • Rare, in-state travel to churches and events. • Ability to lift/carry event materials (up to ~25 lbs) and stand for extended periods during conferences.
