Position Overview

As a Business Development Representative specializing in industrial paint and chemical sales, you will leverage your deep industry knowledge to deliver high-impact, consultative sales solutions. Supporting North Carolina, South Carolina, and parts of Georgia, you'll be responsible for identifying and cultivating key regional accounts, driving revenue growth, and executing strategic plans to expand market share. Your ability to navigate complex industrial sales environments, build trust with technical buyers, and tailor solutions to meet customer needs will be critical to your success. Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive Regional Sales Growth - Achieve assigned sales quotas by developing key accounts and securing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and Maintain Client Relationships - Build rapport with prospective and existing customers through calls, emails, meetings, and marketing efforts.
  • Execute Sales Strategies - Maximize sales of automotive paint and products by identifying new clients, securing contracts, and implementing conversion plans.
  • Manage Key Accounts - Ensure customer satisfaction, drive mutual profitability, and support long-term business relationships.
  • Stay Engaged in Industry & Company Growth - Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and networking events to stay current on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

We're looking for a results-driven sales professional with 5-8 years of experience in business development or direct sales, specifically within industrial markets such as automotive coatings, chemicals, or manufacturing solutions. Candidates should have a proven track record of navigating complex sales cycles, managing technical product portfolios, and building long-term relationships with industrial clients. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred. Success in this role requires strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility for travel and customer site visits. Candidates must be insurable for driving and thrive in both office and field environments. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential.
